Back in Anchorage
I have arrived back in Anchorage and through a series of minor miracles, so did all my luggage, as far as I can tell. When checking in with USAir at BWI the agent called out my name and asked if I was going to Philadelphia, my first stop. While waiting at the gate it suddenly occurred to me that they would normally ask about my ultimate destination. So I asked the agent there and he said my checked bag was incorrectly routed but assured me he would take of it. I had a long layover in Philli, so I decided to get some work done. I was merrily working away when it occurred to me that it was boarding time but nothing was happening. So I checked the board and the gate had changed. I hurriedly threw everything into my backpack but didn't close it well. I was running down the concourse with stuff falling out and kind people chasing me to give it back. Fortunately, the flight was a little late and I made the boarding with little time to spare. I gave the agent a bit of grief about not announcing the gate change at the original gate. Other than that, it was an uneventful but long travel day.
